Last week I talked about essential desires – how the goals we set are benchmarks that represent deeper desires. That recognizing the underlying desire gives more meaning to the goal. It doesn’t necessarily make it any easier to achieve the goal. But I do believe it helps fuel the journey.

I’m going to rename my New Year’s Resolutions; not the content, just the title. Something with more permanence, that will take me through the whole year. But not something that sounds like the prospectus of a mutual fund company.
Getting your groove back

Apply discipline to get you through until it starts to feel good again. You can’t just exercise when it feels good. You’ve got to exercise even when it feels like a big fat drag. But, believe me, it will start to feel good again. The quicker you start the quicker you will get your groove back.
