Carrie Lynn Nieves
Balance is everything.
Retrofit instructor since 2003
I began practicing Pilates in 1998 to stay in shape and to relieve stress while working in a demanding pharmaceutical corporation. I decided to ditch the corporate rat race to pursue career in Pilates. My functional approach to training means that I am continuously increasing my knowledge through workshops in anatomy, Pilates and other movement modalities.
I have a love for all things ocean and the natural world. I took up surfing in 2005 on the island of Maui, Hawaii and have been hooked on the sport and the islands ever since. When I’m not frolicking on the ocean playground you can find me playing in the dirt trying to make my garden grow.
My continued interest in the field of human movement led me to study and certify in 3-D Workout™ Level I and II with Dianne Woodruff, CMA, PhD. I also have stability ball training with FitBall. I am a member of the East End Pilates Association of Toronto.
